Vampire Vendread NR Format
Deck Primer
This is the Normal/Rare deck that I was able to have more creativity to improve it, with that I use engines that work like Vendread's and I use discard cards a lot because two of the main starters: Vampire Familiar and Vampire Retainer need to be in the gy to use its effects.
//////////////////////////////////////////////// ///////////Gameplay/Combos:
Starters: Vampire's Desire / Vampire Familiar / Vampire Retainer / Samurai Skull
***Be careful that the Vampire Retainer and Vampire Familiar need to send a Vampire card to the GY as a cost, so if you have one of them on the field that came back from the GY by its own effect you won't be able to use the effect of either of them in the GY using the copy on the field because they would be instantly banished and therefore cannot pay the activation cost of the card.
A simple way to RANK-6 in the deck is you have Shadow Vampire and Vampire's Desire in hand + any monster on the field because you send Vampire Grace to the GY and Tribute Summon the Shadow Vampire that brings Scarlet Scourge to the field that gives Grace's Reborn and that way you have RANK-6 play.
Another way to RANK-6 is with Scarlet Scourge reborn Vampire Retainer that adds Vampire's Desire for you to send a Vampire Level6 like Vampire Grace to the GY and the Vampire Retainer becomes Level6 and you make RANK-6 that way.
//////////////////////////////////////////////// ////////////Combo: Vampire Familiar in GY + Vampire Retainer
Vampire Familiar eff send Vampire Retainer from Hand to GY and SS from GY
Familiar eff pay500LP Add Shadow Vampire
NS Shadow Vampire and eff SS Scarlet Scourge from Deck and eff pay1000LP Reborn Vampire Retainer
Retainer eff pay500LP Add Vampire Takeover for example
Gamestate: Shadow Vampire(Lv5) + Scarlet Scourge(Lv6) + Retainer(Lv2) + Spell/Trap Vampire
/////////////////////////////////////Combo: (o-Bolan + Retainer) + Vampire Card in Hand + Scarlet Scourge
Jack-o-Bolan eff send Vampire Retainer to GY and SS from Hand
Retainer eff send Vampire Card to GY and SS
Retainer eff pay500LP Add Vampire's Desire
Activate Vampire's Desire and tgt Retainer to send Vampire Familiar to gy and its become Level1
NS Scarlet Scourge and eff pay1000LP Reborn Familiar
Familiar eff pay500LP Add Shadow Vampire(Follow Up)
Gamestate: o-Bolan + Scarlet Scourge + Familiar /in Hand: Shadow Vampire
/////////////////////////////////////Combo: (Samurai Skull + Familiar) + o-Bolan
NS Samurai Skull and eff send Vampire Retainer to gy
Retainer eff send Vampire Familiar from Hand to GY to SS
Retainer eff pay500LP Add Spell/Trap Vampire
Familiar eff send Spell/Trap Vampire from Hand to GY to SS
***(Family eff pay500LP add Vampire Grace)
Jack-o-Bolan eff send Grace to GY to SS from Hand
Gamestate: Samurai Skull + Retainer + Familiar + o-Bolan /in GY: Grace
***(If you didn't spend your Normal Summon you can add Vampire Shadow)
NS Vampire Shadow and eff SS Scarlet Scourge/Vampire Duke from Deck
//////////////////////////////////////Comments:
I decided to adopt a choice of Vampire Tribute Summon monsters (Level 5 and Level 6) more focused on how you would play Vampire in Yugioh's current format where the strategy of sending cards from the opponent's deck to the GY is not good given the amount of cards of the 3 types: Monsters, Spells and Traps that are excellent in the GY.
Of course, you can still interact with the opponent by sending cards from their deck to the GY using Vampire Duke and Vampire Grace to trigger the Field Spell Vampire Kingdom effect and destroy a card on the field but it's not the main focus of the deck in terms of End Board.
Turn 1 usually you want to access Shadow Vampire to be your Normal Summon and bring another high Level Vampire like Vampire Scarlet Scourge onto the field directly from the deck. I don't use more copies of Shadow Vampire because it RESTRICTS you in the Battle Phase to only be able to attack with the monster brought by Special Summon by this effect so you are harmed throughout the game by not being able to take important monsters from your opponent in the Battle Phase. Speaking of this RESTRICTION of attacking in the Battle Phase, Vampire Scarlet Scourge itself restricts you to not being able to attack with the monster brought by its effect during the Battle Phase so you have to understand well the best way to use these effects to not lose chances of take monsters from opponent in Battle Phase.
//////////////////////////////////////
The idea behind the Vendread Engine is that it gives you more Grind Game options and aggressive plays because for example if you do the Manju + Revendread Evolution Combo you add the Revendread Slayer and Ritual Summon it by sending another Slayer from the deck to the GY and then use the two monsters to LINK-2 Puzzlomino, and the Revendread Slayer will trigger eff to add another Revendread Evolution of Follow Up for the next turn at the same time it sends the Vendread Striges to the GY that will come back for Special Summon in Puzzlomino's zone and that way you manipulate its Level to XYZ Summon it together with a Vampire Monster you have on the field or to interact with the opponent by match the level with the opponent's monster you want to destroy with the second Puzzlomino effect. Another way to interact is to make the Geonator Transverser in place of the Puzzlomino and in the same way as before you bring the Vendread Striges in the zone it points and exchange its control with the opponent stealing a Boss Monster he has on the field giving in exchange a 500ATK monster.
This engine then is interaction, enabler to XYZ Summon as mentioned before and Follow Up because you will Ritual Summon the Revendread Slayer again on your next turn and then team up with a Level 6 Vampire monster to make one of your RANK-6 available.
Details of this engine: After Summoning the first Revendread Slayer you always use it as LINK material and not as XYZ material because if you don't you can't trigger eff when it's sent to the GY because it's no longer considered Ritual Summoned Card.
The second detail of this engine is that the Revendread Slayer will be destroyed in the End Phase of the opponent's turn and that's why it's better to use it as a LINK or XYZ material on your own turn to avoid losing card advantage.
The third detail is that sending the Revendread Slayer from your hand to the GY is free as you can Ritual Summon it in the GY so it's easy to pay the cost of cards like Jack-o-Bolan and Performapal PupperUp.
//////////////////////////////////////
Using the Performapal PupperUp makes sense in this deck even with the downside of paying life points because you want to send your Vampire Familiar and Vampire Retainer Starters to the GY if they come in the Starting Hand and also because the Revendread Slayer can be Ritual Summoned from the GY with Ritual Spell Revendread Evolution so you don't lose card advantage by being the best consistency card option available. The trick for you not to take too much damage in the resolution of the Performapal PupperUp and not being able to activate the effects of the Vampire monsters later is you start activating the Continuous Spell Vampire's Domain or Field Spell Vampire Kingdom and setting the Spell Vampire's Desire or Revendread Evolution and giving Normal Summon the Manju or Samurai Skull to have in hand only the cards that will be discarded to the GY avoiding taking 4k or 5k damage.
Jack-o-Bolan also has the function of sending his Vampire Familiar and Vampire Retainer Starters to the GY and he also has the synergy of being able to Reborn one of the Zombie monsters on the opponent's turn for you to generate field presence/Follow Up and even interaction if Reborn from Vampire Duke while Field Spell Vampire Kingdom is activated. This Monster Reborn effect is very useful for even you to bring the Revendread Slayer back to the field which is a 2400ATK monster that will be difficult for the opponent to take out of the field which makes the protection effect of RANK-6 Dragonlark Pairen alive and will still make it possible to make more RANK-6 plays on the return turn.
Tip: Whenever you are going to use the effect of Vampire Duke and Vampire Grace, never choose "Trap" because all decks in the format use Paleozoic Traps and choosing "Monster" is also a bad choice given how many excellent cards the vast majority of decks wants to send to the GY so the best option is to force him to send "Spells" because that's the least that will generate an advantage if his deck manages to use it.
The RANK-6 you always want to do first in the deck is Dragonlark Pairen because it will simply Reborn the Vampire Familiar and Vampire Retainer Starters during the next two Standby Phases for you to quickly gain advantage in addition to protecting itself from destruction by battle or card effect while a GY Special Summoned Monster is on the field making it a very difficult card to deal with.
